SLOVENIA. Getting out of comfort ZONE due to two months of volunteering

Enrico and Alice, two young people from Mamoiada did a 2-months volunteering project called the “Compass project” financed by the European Solidarity Corps program in Begunje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia 🇸🇮! During this experience, our young people carried out manual and practical solidarity activities and followed workshops for local youth.

⁉️ What was the experience like?

Below learn more about their story:

“In these 2 months, we carried out activities for our host association, “Zavod Manipura,” aimed to involve children with both motor and intellectual disabilities. In addition, we helped youth who suffered social hardship, with children during their vacations, or with abused animals.

During the project, we lived and collaborated with 8 other young people of different nationalities, and we were able to engage with them and their cultures.

It was an experience we recommend to everyone because it could be the turning point of someone’s life.

Living such an adventure makes you realize how much there is to discover about the world out there and how much you need opportunities like this to grow and learn more about yourself.”
