From 2 to 5 August 2026, in Havířov, Czech Republic, young people and youth workers from eight European countries – Italy, Spain, Malta, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece and the Czech Republic – took part in “Beyond Likes”, an Erasmus+ project focusing on social media, digital tools and their conscious and responsible use in youth work.
During the activities, participants had the opportunity to explore different digital programmes and tools, share their knowledge and discover new ways of using technology in their studies, work and everyday lives.

“From 1 to 6 August, I took part in the Erasmus+ project ‘Beyond Likes’ in Havířov, Czech Republic, thanks to the MALIK association. It was a valuable educational and intercultural experience that allowed me to discover new digital tools, interact with young people from different European countries and make new friends.
One of the highlights was the intercultural evening, dedicated to sharing traditions and typical products from our different countries. It was an experience I would definitely recommend, and I hope to have the opportunity to take part in something similar again.”

“From 1 to 6 August, I took part in the Erasmus+ project ‘Beyond Likes’, thanks to the MALIK association. The experience took place in Havířov, Czech Republic, with all expenses fully covered by the organisers, and brought together young people from different European Union countries.
During the mornings and early afternoons, we explored different digital programmes and tools that can be useful for work, study and everyday life. Afterwards, working in groups, we had the opportunity to present a software programme or digital tool that we personally use.
The training activities also left plenty of room to explore the city and its surroundings. It was a great opportunity to make friends with people from different nationalities. On the last day, for example, we organised an intercultural evening, sharing typical food and drinks from each country and creating a truly memorable moment of cultural exchange.
I highly recommend this experience. Not only did I learn how to use many useful online tools, but I also found the project organisers and the representatives of the MALIK association extremely helpful and always available to answer questions or provide support whenever needed.”

“Taking part in the Erasmus+ project ‘Beyond Likes’ in Havířov was an incredibly educational and exciting experience.
During our stay in the Czech Republic, from 1 to 6 August, we immersed ourselves in the world of social media and artificial intelligence, exploring how these tools can become practical and strategic resources for university life and the world of work. Each of us presented one or more tools that help us simplify our everyday tasks, whether related to school, work or university, making the exchange particularly interesting and enriching.
The project was also an important opportunity for international exchange. We had the chance to present our own association while also listening to the experiences, projects and activities of the other European partner organisations.
There were also plenty of opportunities to bond as a group. Through team-building games, informal moments and trips to discover the local area, we broke down barriers and got to know each other, even though our time together was limited.
Along with wonderful memories and new friendships, this project allowed me to take home new skills that will be useful for my professional future, as well as a greater awareness of the digital world.”
Beyond Training
The project was not limited to training activities. Games, group activities, informal moments and trips to discover the local area created many opportunities for participants to meet, connect and share experiences.
The experience concluded with an intercultural evening, during which each delegation had the opportunity to present their country through food, traditions and interesting facts.
It was a simple yet meaningful moment that transformed cultural differences into an opportunity for mutual understanding and discovery.
Four days, eight countries and many different experiences, united by the desire to learn and share.
Because going “Beyond Likes” means discovering that beyond the screen there are not only tools and technologies, but above all people, ideas, skills and connections that can continue even after the project has come to an end.
